By Ryan Moore

Horses can not be ridden without saddlery. This is one of the most important equipment for this task. It aids greatly when it comes to obedience of the horse towards the directives given during racing. In case fitting has not been done well, it will show disobedience and acts that are not tamable to portray discomfort.

All these can be annoying to the owner especially if they horse was participating in a competition. The approach in handling this should be done skillfully. Emphasis is laid on checking the saddle and its fitness to its tummy. The seat may be causing all these discomforts.

Such a case has been known to create a lot of discomfort in the animal. This seat has to fit well and leave some extent for a horse to breathe. It calls for having the right size of this equipment at all times when galloping in competitions or pleasure.

Size establishment can be carried out by analyzing the length and shape of the back. These two tend to vary from time to time with regards to the feeding ability. A well fed horse cannot use the same saddle as the one that has eaten very little. Such matters have to be considered.

Since the size is not static and keeps on changing regularly depending on growth and feeding habits, this norm needs continuous evaluation before any person climbs on the horse for a ride or race. These operations will be enjoyable when the beast adheres to all commands and directives.

With saddlery, the seat needs to come exactly after the shoulder. Here, it should not lean on this part whatsoever. This enhances free movement of these shoulders and creates better balance as the animal takes strides. A balanced saddle should not be tilted at any angle; it has to be straight for balance enhancement.
